GENERAL Questions

What is there to do?

• We have a live feed to watch participants climb stairways.
• Pre-event 9/11 remembrance ceremony
• Watch participants ring the bell signifying that they have completed the 110 story climb. 
• Watch as participants will finish the 110 story climb, as walk up the last set of stairs.

How long does it last?

The opening ceremony will start at approx. 8:30am and last approximately 20 minutes and the event continues until the last participant finishes the climb.

PARTICIPANT Questions

How old do I have to be?

You must be 18 years old to participate.

​Will there be food?

​We do not have food or concessions for the event, but there will be water and Powerade on site. 

Is this a timed race?

​No, This is a memorial event to honor the 343 firefighters killed on 9-11-2001. We ask that you work as a team to complete the event. 

VOLUNTEER Questions

What is required of me?

We ask that you commit to helping with setup and break down of the event and all parts included in it.

What will be I be doing?

Each volunteer will be asked to do various things including:

• Pass water out to participants 
• Help with setup and break down
• Pass out ceremony flyers
• Help with accountability board
• Help with participant safety
• Clean up stairways
• Lifting boxes
• Hanging photos of Fallen FDNY firefighters

What will I receive?

• Event T-Shirt
• Event swag 
• Name badge with Lanyard
• Overwhelming joy
